PatientWorks

When we decided to rollout a Medication Administration Check bar-coding initiative we also knew we would need to move from pre-printed forms to an automated solution supporting bar-coding. We selected five vendors to send RFPs, then settled on three for further evaluation; Standard Register, PatientWorks and Moore/Wallace. We quickly recognized that we could not move forward with a vendor who did not offer HL7 interfacing and "scheduled print" functionality (so we could schedule print jobs at future dates). Standard Register and Moore/Wallace had neither but PatientWorks had both. Another feature we discovered in PatientWorks that we now couldn't live without, is separation of applications by facility - we have four different hospitals in the system and this feature allows us to quickly isolate and search forms by facility; a necessity for multiple hospital systems each with their own different, voluminous set of forms.
PatientWorks accomplished every one of our intended goals. For example, from an efficiency and cost savings standpoint, chart creation used to take fifteen minutes per patient, now it takes literally a few seconds..
We found all their people to be great to work with and very responsive from sales to implementation to on-going support. Our group and their group truly formed a productive team where there was never any finger pointing; best implementation ever - a wonderful experience. Plus their turn-around time on requests has been absolutely fabulous!

Addressograph Military
>>>The following quote is testimony to the reliability and critical role played by the Addressograph320 embossers. End users please note that these Addressograph Model 320s have been in the battle zone of the Middle East for 2 ˝ years with no service issues.
"Our Battalion currently has eight electronic embossing machines at three locations. Three of the eight are Addressograph Model 320s. These have proven to be the most reliable. The other five machines have had numerous reliability issues and have been in and out of maintenance. It is critical to have reliable backups. Purchasing two Addressograph Model 320s ensures we will have reliable backup machines available for the three locations producing ID tags for deploying and redeploying Soldiers. There would be significant impact expected if the Addressograph Model 320s and carrying cases were not procured. Our Unit and Soldier readiness could be directly affected if the backups were not available."

TSI
It is not often that I enthusiastically endorse a vendor because the supplier management process is often an arduous one. In this case - were I to summarize TSI's results in one word - it is 'awesome'. Other adjectives that apply are…thorough, complete, expert, on-time, within-budget, excellent, helpful, friendly, collaborative, team players, solution-oriented and customer-centric.
The WSLCB had firm timelines and operational constraints for this deployment to 161 stores. When TSI's team came on board, the local program manager led the effort to develop (and maintain) a deployment plan/timeline - store-by-store, constraint-by-constraint. The staging team arrived and, exceeding our expectations, was effective on day one. The installation teams were reliable and able to resolve the unexpected. Throughout the project we had excellent communication with all managing levels within TSI - this included frequent status meetings via conference calls.
The project outcomes included: meeting the deadlines expected at the store, zero to minimal disruption in sales, excellent documentation (including photos) of store configurations and more importantly - satisfied store managers. This was not a perfect effort - it was fraught with learning, almost on a day-to-day basis. TSI's experience and willingness to do whatever it took to resolve our issues made these challenges palatable and shaped new solutions. After 35 years in the information systems profession, I wholeheartedly endorse TSI's team."
